If you’re just starting to dive into the world of Instagram you might be kind of frustrated.
Sure once you’re popular people will “like” and “comment” on your stuff; but how do you GET popular when no one “likes” or “comments” on your stuff?
Enter the pod.
A pod is simply a group. This group, whether on Facebook, Instagram or Telegram, is a bunch of other people who also want more traffic. You each drop a link to your new posts and everyone else will click it, “like” it and comment on it. Some of them will follow you.
That’s it. It isn’t rocket science, or terribly complicated.
When joining these groups, you have to be careful. Spamming posts, gaining fake followers and otherwise trying to actually manipulate the system can get you either shadowed by Instagram (people can’t see you unless they already follow you), or get your account closed entirely.
HOW DO I DO IT RIGHT, THEN?
Joining groups should simply be about finding other people who like what you do and vice versa. That way when you follow them, and they follow you, it’s because you actually enjoy each others accounts. Comments should be genuine, moderators should be good and remove any inappropriate or spammy accounts, and all activity should be on the up-and-up.
WHY DO IT?
Instagram shows photos higher on people’s feeds when they’re more popular. They then show entire accounts when you’re found to be similar to others in your theme. Once you’re getting regular traffic, you won’t need groups as people will be seeing you. If after a couple of weeks you aren’t seeing a lot of traffic, your account might need work.
If you’re at a loss for how to get started, PM me on Instagram and I can help. Please tell me the theme you’re going for in your message. I highly recommend only joining groups that are themed to match your Instagram; otherwise, people will not genuinely enjoy your content and the popularity will be short-lived.
